Renewables & electricity
In South Africa, we are developing a 700 MW portfolio of solar projects, including the Prieska solar power plant (86 MW), in operation since 2016. In 2023, we signed power purchase agreements with Sasol and Air Liquide to supply 260 MW of renewable electricity capacity (solar and wind), and launched construction of a 216 MW solar power plant with 500 MWh of battery storage.
We also market solar panels and trackers to our professional and residential customers.
Specialty, petroleum and bio-based products
We operate a lubricant blending plant in Durban.
Exploration & Production
In South Africa, we hold exploration rights in the Deep Water Orange Basin (DWOB), Orange Basin Deep (OBD), Outeniqua South and in Block 3B/4B to the east of DWOB.

Marketing & Services
In South Africa, we supply our business customers with solutions designed by our affiliates Saft and Hutchinson. We also retail specialty, petroleum and petrochemical products in the country.
We market our fuels, products and related services through our network of around 550 service stations, and we also sell decentralized solar solutions for low-income populations.
